You don’t have to carry the weight of depression alone.

Depression can make the world feel small and dark.

Low energy. Less motivation. Disconnection from the people and things that used to give you joy. Living in the country can compound these feelings, with a stoic attitude of “you’ll be right” that doesn't leave much room to talk about how you're really feeling.

That’s why we built SisterTalk: an online bulk-billed program for women living in the country who have depression.

How we help with depression

Hi there, we’re Cat and Sal: Clinical Psychologists, sisters and the co-founders of SisterTalk. We grew up in country Victoria, and know how hard it can be to access mental health support in these towns.

That’s why we built SisterTalk.

We provide bulk-billed, online group treatment for anxiety and depression, intentionally designed for women living in rural and remote Australia. Our eight-week program uses evidence-based strategies to help women:

  • Understand what contributes to low mood and motivation

  • Learn evidence-based, practical strategies to regulate emotions and lift mood

  • Rebuild motivation and daily structure at a manageable pace

  • Learn alongside a small group of women who face similar difficulties and understand what it's like living out in the country

If our program sounds like a good fit, schedule a chat with us.

Why women choose SisterTalk

  • Evidence-based

Our program is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the gold-standard treatment for lots of mental health challenges, including depression and anxiety. Every session is facilitated by an experienced Clinical Psychologist, ensuring you' receive expert guidance throughout our program.

  • Affordable

Our program is bulk-billed, with no out-of-pocket expenses for women living in rural and remote Australia. All you need is a current Mental Health Treatment Plan. We believe you shouldn't have to miss out on effective mental health care just because of the cost.

  • Accessible

All sessions are delivered online, so no matter where you are in rural or remote Australia, you can take part right from home. We don't want geography to get in the way of you getting the support you deserve.

  • Connection

You'll join a small group of women who understand what it's like to live with depression or anxiety, in a space designed for honest conversation and shared understanding. You don't have to face this alone.
